Imperial Stout brewed with six malts, and Guatemalan Volcanic Atitlan Coffee from the Belfast Coffee Company.
The label consists of the mountain in Yosemite Forest Park California, with the late black Labrador that the brewer owned. The inclusion of an alien ship with the Bull mascot just makes it that little bit out there.
Really enjoyed working on this label and it looks great on the shelf.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_single_image image=”2164″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”100″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
SMALL AXE
Hoppy, sessionable IPA packed with resinous West Coast hops. When Bob Marley wrote Small Axe in 1970, The Wailers were the ’small acts’ stepping up to chop down the ’big tree.’ Here’s to the little guys.. with their Small Axe.
An homage to Bob Marley, and the I think I made that very obvious with the dreadlocked bull and rasta hat. The Hop vine being hacked at was lots of fun to draw and the explosion of hops around the label really makes for an interesting label. If you look closely at the label you’ll see some truly strange inclusions like an angry octopus, a rocket ship. and is that bull wearing Y-fonts?[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_single_image image=”2163″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”2132″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”100″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”2131″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
UBER TUBER
A truly traditional farmhouse saison. Brewed with Irish malted barley, wheat malt for a creamy mouthfeel and rye malt for a grainy zestiness. Comber potatoes from the fields surrounding the brewery.
The client asked for a wacky spud on the label withe surrounding countryside. This is exactly what they got. A jet skiing potato being pulled along by the bull mascot in a speed boat. That’s Scrabo Tower featuring on the horizon to let you know this beer is a local beer.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_single_image image=”2162″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”100px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
MOOVIN ON UP
Brewed as a one off for one of the largest conferences ever to be held in Northern Ireland with 1500+ delegates from over 65 countries. This was a limited edition mild English style ale.
As this was a limited label for a one off event it needed to be completed quickly and at a low cost. It’s a simple label with some bulls on the Giant’s Causeway to represent Northern Ireland.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_single_image image=”2165″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”2133″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”100px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”2167″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
Quest for the Milky Whey
We went on a Machiavellian quest to find the elusive elixir of sensory enlightenment. We found what we were looking for and crash landed our plunder back at the Bullhouse.
We’ve taken an Imperial Milk Stout and aged it in a single, exceptional Ex Olorosso Sherry, Bourbon & Irish Whiskey cask for 5 months. The resulting sensory epiphany is to be experienced, enjoyed and savoured. We hope it brings you as much enlightenment as it has brought us. Power to the people.
A really fun label to work on, a cow in space, need I say more? A nice bit of typography design was needed for this too, which I think gives it an old 1950’s sci fi vibe.
