HELLO!
[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”250px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2071″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]I’m an Irish illustrator and graphic designer based in Belfast.I have been drawing and painting ever since I was young, and nothing has changed since then. Born in Belfast in 1985, son of Brendan Ellis MA of Fine Art from the Royal College of Art London.
I won my first art competition at age 10 seeing my artwork painted on the side of a bus, and winning the BECTA award for a short animation at age 17. I went on to study Film Studies at Queen’s University, Belfast with a 2.1 Honours Degree in the Arts (BA), then studying Graphic Design and Illustration at University of Ulster with another 2.1 Honours in Design (Bdes). I’ve been working freelance since 2012 and have worked on a wide range of fun and creative projects.
My work is full of colour, textures and shading, with heavy use of halftone and gradient overlays, with a rough and ready selection of digital brushes. I work on a Wacom Cintiq, but also like to sketch on paper, use watercolours, and old fashioned printing techniques like lino and screen.
If you want to chat about a potential project together, or just want a quote on a one off job please don’t hesitate on contacting me via the contact section, or via social media.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
